There's every chance that Karrion Kross could soon set his sights on the NXT Championship he never lost, and was forced to relinquish through injury, making this entry look mighty stupid.

That doesn't seem likely anytime soon, though. Yes, Kross will beat Santos Escobar to end their short TV rivalry, but Adam Cole, Finn Balor, and Kyle O'Reilly have entered a complicated relationship at the top of the card and while these three lack Kross' bombast and showiness, it's a more interesting NXT Title feud than Goth Muscle Monster vs. Serious Fighty Man Who Thinks He's A Cat.

It was reported two weeks ago that WWE is considering expediting Kross' arrival on the main roster. This could go down after he smashes Escobar, who is a mere speedbump in Karrion's ascension. Kross' fans would argue that it'd suck to see him not get a second shot at the NXT Championship, but does he need it? The guy's look and presentation are his act's most important components. He's ready for Raw or SmackDown and would benefit little from more sessions learning to work the hard camera at the Performance Center, so let's get him outta there.

An introductory feud with somebody he can brutally squash at or before 'Mania makes sense here. Sami Zayn.
