10 Big WWE Returns That Could Happen In 2019

1. The Rock

The Rock WrestleMania 35
WWE

It’s been too long since we’ve seen The Rock on WWE television. His last major appearance came at WrestleMania 32, when it was elected that he should squash Erick Rowan in just six seconds, before him and former rival John Cena fended off The Wyatt Family. That was over two and a half years ago, and we’re still waiting for his next move in the world of pro wrestling.

It was heavily rumoured that Rocky was being pinpointed for a potential WrestleMania 35 match against Roman Reigns. His cousin’s leukaemia returning means this is now an impossibility. Still, there are plenty of options left on the table for The Rock in WWE, but who’s to say he even needs to wrestle a match?

He’s one of the biggest celebrities in the bloody world, and his presence is guaranteed to pop a rating no matter what he’s doing, whether that’s holding a concert with Elias, throwing insults at Baron Corbin. Tying it in with a Hall Of Fame induction would work nicely as well, though WWE would need to come up with something a tad more compelling than the usual roll call of inductees for ‘The Great One.’
