10 Big WWE Returns That Could Happen In 2022

3. Bray Wyatt

Number 30 in the Royal Rumble looks good for Bray Wyatt, whose situation is similar to former stablemate Braun Strowman's.

Where else in the wrestling world does 'The Fiend' fit but WWE? There's a working standard in NJPW that Wyatt doesn't meet, despite the promotion's decline, and international travel is complicated at the moment. Spookiness doesn't fly in AEW, whose roster might contain aliens, dinosaurs, and creepy goths, but none of them ever get supernatural. IMPACT is more willing to embrace its spooky side but might lack the budget.

Because of this, Wyatt is perfectly suited to spark a headline-making WWE comeback in the not-so-distant future. A proven money-maker at the merch booth, who brought in my revenue than the promotion spent on wages, a return is totally plausible once any lingering ill will over his reported creative frustrations has eased.

For now, his attention is focused on creating a horror movie. Here's hoping he finds success in a medium that has been a clear influence on his work through his wrestling career. He, like the rest of the wrestlers callously cut loose by WWE's budget-cutting axe, deserves good fortune.
