10 Big WWE Returns That Could Happen In 2022

4. Trish Stratus

Though she is due to return to a WWE house show in her home state of Ontario, Canada on 29 December, making her predicted 2022 comeback one of the shortest on this list, Trish Stratus shan't be excluded for that reason.

Stratus, it seems, wants to wrestle again, having called the idea "appealing" in November. Prospective opponent Sasha Banks had accused the Hall of Famer of ducking her one month prior. Trish responded in kind, and after claiming in December 2020 that she would love to go back to WWE "for something that's challenging, stimulating, and the fans want", the stage is set for a rivalry that commenced through a Royal Rumble 2018 face-off.

Trish helped bring out 'The Boss' in Banks for the first time in years that night. They had immediate chemistry in their brief interactions so while ring rust is always a concern when inactive wrestlers return, at the very least, the character work would be fire.

Stratus over-delivered against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019, which was intended to be her "farewell" match. Why bet against her doing the same with Banks?
