When Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 31 to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it was a great moment. It was a great moment for Rollins, his fans, and for WrestleMania. Unfortunately, most of that greatness came at the expense of Roman Reigns.

Losing to a Money in the Bank cash-in does not mean that you are being buried. In the case of Roman Reigns, however, the last minute backstage decision to have Seth Rollins cash-in during Reigns' main event match with Brock Lesnar spoke all too clearly as to WWE's fears of putting the title on Reigns.

WWE could have salvaged the damage they did to Reigns here by rebuilding him in the aftermath of WrestleMania 31, but instead they went on to make most of the decisions featured on this list. Should Roman Reigns never reach the heights that WWE wants to push him to, we'll be looking back at WrestleMania 31 as the turning point of his career.
