10 Biggest Booking Mistakes Of Roman Reigns' WWE Career
2. Sitting Out Most Of The 2016 Royal Rumble Match
You would think that after the spectacular booking failure that Reigns had to endure in the 2015 Royal Rumble that there would be no way the company could possibly top themselves the following year. But somehow, WWE managed to do just that.
The "One vs. All" premise of this Royal Rumble could have been a great way to showcase the resiliency of Reigns, but instead WWE had him taken to the back fairly early on after a beating by The League of Nations. Humorously, this beating was not nearly as vicious as the one Dean Ambrose endured earlier in the night at the hands of Kevin Owens and yet Ambrose still outlasted Reigns in this match.
It also certainly didn't help that Reigns would return to the match showing very little signs of injury. As such, his eventual defeat didn't give off the image of a wounded warrior being unable to overcome heavy odds and instead just looked like Roman Reigns being cleanly eliminated after having the chance to enjoy a bit of rest.
