Given that both men are actually quite good at having physically intense matches, a feud between Roman Reigns and Sheamus could have been great. In fact, the only way you could really screw that pairing up would be to do something completely ridiculous like have both men spend most of the feud exchanging grade school quality insults.
Naturally, that's exactly what happened. Neither Roman Reigns or Sheamus have ever shown to be especially skilled at promos, so why it was decided that a rivalry between the two should be based around mic work is anyone's guess. The weeks of promos we got from Reigns and Sheamus leading up to their showdown at TLC 2015 not only failed to sell the match but gave Roman Reigns' detractors a lifetime's worth of ammunition thanks to Reigns' unforgettable "Tater Tots" promo.
