10 Biggest Car Crash Wrestling PPVs Ever

8. WCW Halloween Havoc 1998

A typically over-stuffed late-'90s WCW pay-per-view, Halloween Havoc 1998 was a complete shambles, even by the promotion's lowly standards.

It wasn't the worst WCW show from an in-ring standpoint. Chris Jericho vs. Raven, Disco Inferno vs. Juventud Guerrera, and the World Title match between Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page were fine. That main event is part of the problem, though: most fans didn't even get to see the damn thing finish.

HH '98 overran its allotted three hours by 15 minutes, 47 seconds. This meant the PPV feed cutting off while Goldberg and DDP were still competing. WCW would try to make amends by airing the match, uninterrupted, on Nitro the following evening, but that they'd even allowed such a colossal screw-up on one of their biggest shows of the year was embarrassing enough.

This compounded a trainwreck that came hurtling off the rails with Hollywood Hogan vs. The (Ultimate) Warrior - a borderline unwatchable disaster in which Hulk inadvertently singed his moustache and eyebrows while attempting to throw a fireball at his foe. Even Eric Bischoff would eventually condemn it was one of the worst bouts in WCW history.
