10 Biggest Car Crash Wrestling PPVs Ever

7. WWE Greatest Royal Rumble

Its glorified house show feel made the Greatest Royal Rumble a light, breezy watch, particularly for non-US viewers, who were finally treated to a WWE pay-per-view at a sociable viewing hour. It was a decent-to-good wrestling show at face value, but an abundance of piss-taking moments mean its place here is more than earned.

There were several hilarious botches, with Jinder Mahal selling a missed Whisper in the Wind in his bout with Jeff Hardy, and Titus O'Neil's now-legendary trip (less hilarious was Bobby Lashley almost killing Big Cass with a flubbed suplex). The dilapidated Undertaker shambled his way through another dodgy performance against Rusev. WWE poked fun at their audience by not only booking another Brock Lesnar vs. Romain Reigns clash, but by having 'The Beast Incarnate' go over for the second time that month.

Then, of course, was the 50-person 'Greatest' Royal Rumble: a wild concept made wilder by odd surprise entrants (remember Hiroki Sumi?) and the weird green belt Braun Strowman was awarded for winning, but hasn't been seen since.

An abundance of pro-Saudi propaganda and reports that the government requested the deceased Yokozuna and Ultimate Warrior appear at the GRR compound this gloriously dumb carnival.
