5. WWE Crown Jewel

Proof, if ever it was needed, that WWE don't give a single f*ck in 2018, Crown Jewel was crammed with absurd moments guaranteed to boil the piss of anyone viewing it through a serious lens.

Self-admitted racist Hulk Hogan appeared in the very first minute, bingo wings and all, mailing in a quick promo on Boeing 747s and "stark-raving Hulkamaniacs, brother." The silly sod spent more time walking to and from the ring than he did talking.

From there, the show took a long detour through mundanity with the World Cup Quarterfinals, before the daftness returned via The New Day hitting the ring with magic carpet. That's when things got really weird. Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins and AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe, the night's two great workrate hopes, both underwhelmed. Brock Lesnar became a two-time Universal Champion after a three-minute bout in which supposed 'monster' Braun Strowman landed precisely one kick. Shane McMahon was hilariously crowned 'Best In The World' after inserting himself into the World Cup final. Shawn Michaels somehow held an empty main event together, despite it being his first bout in 8 years, knocking Kane's mask off in the process.

A hoot from start to finish, when kept at arm's length. WWE may never host another show like Crown Jewel.
