10 Biggest Failed WWE Pushes
9. The Great Khali
To be fair, The Great Khali did have a short run as World Heavyweight Champion in 2007, as well as sharing a genuinely watchable match with John Cena at One Night Stand of the same year. For a guy who can barely move, that's not bad.
Therein lies the problem with The Great Khali, though: his banged-up knees always rendered him incapable of moving at anything beyond walking pace, making it in turn virtually impossible for fans to take him seriously when he steps between the ropes.
And take him seriously is exactly what we were asked to when he initially debuted in 2006 and was immediately placed in a feud with The Undertaker. The Punjabi Nightmare was supposed to be a legitimate force, capable of standing toe-to-toe with the baddest man in wrestling history.
Within a few years, however, he was wearing a tiara and charming the sock puppet Santino Marella wore on his hand. That's a pretty steep fall from grace, however popular he may or may not be in India.
