10 Biggest Feel Good WWE Moments This Decade
1. "I'm In Remission, Ya'll"
No words nor rhetoric canever convey the magnitude of emotions associated with this moment. It was, by every stretch of the imagination, indescribable. Whenever real life supersedes kayfabe, it usually means something monumental has occurred. In this case, it was one of the worst things that could happen to a man.
Roman Reigns had been diagnosed with leukaemia for the second time in his life and had to relinquish the Universal Championship in order to seek immediate treatment. The shadow of his ordeal hung over WWE programs for the months that followed. Most of which, surrounding Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, is best never mentioned.
However, when news did break of Reigns appearing on Raw, everyone was understandably excited. Most believed it was to give us a health update and since he was appearing live to do so, it must have been positive news.
On the night, Reigns began his promo in basic fashion. He thanked the fans for all their support and reaffirmed his desire to keep fighting no matter what. After a few minutes, he got to a point where he said it was now time for the announcement. Suddenly, there was a hint of electricity being felt in the air.
And then, he uttered those unforgettable four words, drawing one of the loudest eruption of cheers ever heard at a wrestling venue. I was cheering, you were cheering, every organism in the universe was cheering. In an industry as utterly absurd as this, where people have tried to bury their opponent alive and demons from hell decide to fight for a living, this one moment gave us a lesson in what really matters in life.
