10 Biggest Feel Good WWE Moments This Decade
8. Phenomenal Debut
Sometimes even the inevitable can take years to finally come about. Both during his run as the face of TNA/Impact and afterwards when he was scoring those six stars in the Tokyo Dome, everyone wondered when and if the Phenomenal One would finally arrive in, as Seth Rollins would put it, “the Big Leagues”. Things became somewhat complicated when he openly balked at the idea of joining WWE, even citing New Japan as the best promotion in the world.
As things go however, WWE like always, would have their man. And it could not have come at a more needed time. The fan backlash against Roman Reigns’ continued push as the top babyface was at an all-time high. The anger showed no signs of abating as Royal Rumble of 2016 rolled around and the Big Dog was defending his world title against 29 other men.
Just when everyone had given up on the match, the clock ticked down to zero and the words phenomenal flashed across the Titantron. The audience did not even realize it initially, as confused faces greeted the hitherto unknown music. A few seconds later, the roof came off. AJ Bloody Styles emerged onto a Vince McMahon show for the first time ever. Even Kevin Dunn’s refusal to move the camera from Roman Reigns’ puzzled face could not dull this moment and the jubilation of all those watching. Nothing could.
