Will we ever get over this? Maybe many of you are, but I'm not. Even if this match happened again at WrestleMania 33 and was all of the stars, the stale taste left in my mouth from that sad night 12 years ago would still make its presence felt.

Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar was huge, huge, huge. Looking back it was the easiest home-run in wrestling. Two dominant forces, one inherently linked with WCW and the other the golden boy of the WWE. Black trunks, physical violence, all refereed by the man who made black trunks and reckless violence a thing.

It was a dream match, and a dream match that came with a ready made heel and face. Somehow however, everything about Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar went up in flames that the WWE attempted to put out with Austin's beer, only to realise that one shouldn't do that.

Despite the disappointment of it all, Goldberg vs. Lesnar should still go down in history as a huge match. It just happens to be a huge match that was utterly diabolical.
