10 Biggest Last-Minute WWE WrestleMania Main Event Changes

1. The Whole Daniel Bryan Thing - WrestleMania XXX

Randy Orton vs Batista.

No matter what WWE say, that was the scheduled plan for the main event of WrestleMania XXX until very late in the day. It was clear to see on TV and there's even physical proof that this was the idea at late as January 2014.

That was, until the WWE fanbase basically held the company hostage.

The fan-appointed number one contender was Daniel Bryan. The ultra-likeable fluffy dragon hadn't gotten super over during the latter part of 2013, as audiences resonated with his real-life underdog story.

They saw him as someone being held down by management, someone who "wasn't the right fit" for a WWE Champion. But, come hell or highwater, they were going to make him succeed.

Through unrelenting cheering, campaigning, and straight-up threatening, the Yes Movement finally got their wish and Bryan was made a part of the Mania XXX main event. Thanks to their hard work, it was he who ended the night in New Orleans with the world title belts held proudly above his head.

Who knows where the wrestling world would be had this never happened, but it would likely be a much sadder place than it is today.
