10 Biggest Megalomaniacs In WWE History
7. Chris Jericho
Jericho has done a fantastic job of keeping up with the modern era by re-inventing himself time-and-time again throughout his career. He’s enjoyed a longevity that few other wrestlers can lay claim to. He has a lot to be proud of, but unfortunately his accomplishments have gone to his head and he’s turned into one of the biggest egomaniacs in all of wrestling.
Jericho’s second book “Undisputed” seems to have really been a turning point in his life. It became a time where he fell full-on in love with himself. Every page is filled with braggadocios tales of the famous people he knows, the great matches he’s been in, how funny he is, a word he and his buddies made up that is used ad nauseum (froot) and how he gets in random brawls with people. This seems to be a recurring trend. His ego is easily bruised, and he will lash out if provoked in any sort of way.
When Jericho and Sin Cara battled it out on a bus, Jericho was rumored to have told Cara that he was going to be fired for his actions. In Jericho's mind he must believe he has that sort of power or influence. Apparently he does not.
Listening to Jericho's podcast can also be a bit of a chore. At times he really digs in and brings out the best in the people he's interviewing, at other times he turns his show into a game of one-upsmanship. He often throws in stories of his own that seem grander than his guests for no other reason than to feed his ego.
Y2J has done a great job of putting other people over during the course of his career. But did he do that selflessly, or so he could brag about it later?
