7. The State of RAW's Women's Division

The above photo sees IYO Sky and Lyra Valkyria in the midst of a TV match of the year contender during the last RAW of 2024. To quote WhatCulture's Scott Carlson, "Iyo Sky versus Lyra Valkyria should serve as a template for what WWE women’s wrestling in 2025 can be if the powers that be invest and fully commit to it".

Given that, it stuck in the craw to see them relegated to literally sitting on the sidelines during the Netflix premiere. Two of the most skilled wrestlers in the world (especially IYO, who had a banner year in terms of match quality), reduced to smiling and waving for the camera.

RAW's women's division has been hopeless at taking advantage of the incredible wealth of talent at its disposal. Too many factions, a lack of storylines and 50/50 booking have made it impossible to care about the vast majority of the roster, no matter how good they are in the ring. The one actual storyline - Liv and Rhea's feud - also made the fundamental error of involving the Women's Championship, which meant the rest of the roster had nothing to fight for while WWE stretched out Liv and Rhea's beef for months on end.

Well, there were the Women's Tag Team titles, but really...
