10 Biggest Tag Team Specialists In Wrestling History

7. Rick Steiner

The Steiner Brothers were a sight to behold in their heyday. Alongside the Road Warriors, they’re one of the most iconic teams in American wrestling history, and the very definition of an effective tag team. Their collegiate-influenced wrestling style was hard-hitting and impactful, their cohesion was off the charts, and as characters, they were two big, tough brutes whose only goals were kick ass and win titles.

They were highly success in both departments. The Steiners picked-up an astonishing number of championship reigns throughout their run, with two WWE, two IWGP Heavyweight, and seven WCW Tag Team Championships standing as the highlights. Simply put, they’re one of the most decorated tag teams that the business has ever seen, and they still make the odd appearance on the independent circuit today.

Scott Steiner went on to become a huge singles star for WCW, but Rick was never as fortunate. His forays into singles wrestling never quite worked out, and he always looked more comfortable when sharing the ring with a partner. Aside from his brother, Rick has further tag title reigns with Terry Taylor, Sting, and… ahem… Judy Bagwell to his name. He’ll never be considered as successful as Scott, but Rick Steiner is one of the all-time great tag team wrestlers.
