Speaking of the Hurt Business, the current United States Champion Bobby Lashley is currently working at the level fans hoped he would be after his re-signing to WWE in 2018. After a couple years of occasional greatness, a direction with MVP and the addition of a Full Nelson submission finisher has lit the flames within Lashley, who has been consistently delivering since the start of the pandemic era.

The turning point was his losing effort against Drew McIntyre at Backlash, which remains the Scottish champion’s best title defence to date. It allowed him to exchange submissions that he was known for in Bellator and thoroughly showcased his great chemistry with McIntyre.

Lashley didn’t receive a slump from the loss either, confidently dethroning Apollo Crews for the US title cleanly at Payback and defeating him in a rematch at Clash of Champions, looking like a beast in both. But most importantly, his style and presence are different since pairing up with MVP, he looks phenomenal with his new suits and sunglasses.

When he walks down the ramp with his new fit and championship belt, he feels like the star Vince saw him as in 2006. Lashley’s excelling this year.
