Huzzah! WWE didn't embellish the figures for WrestleMania XXVIII.

There really was 78,363 in Sun Life Stadium to watch Miami, Florida native Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson make his return to the ring after eight years.

Considering Vince McMahon made it his personal mission to set attendance records at venues that had hosted, or were about to host the Super Bowl, it's a genuine surprise to see an honest figure that only just took the crown from the National Football League's biggest game. No doubt he was livid when 80,120 attended the 2013 BCS National Championship Game a year later. Maybe WWE should've made this one up...

Despite Florida only hosting a 'Mania four years earlier, the Sunshine State fans came out in force to see the baffling decision to put Rocky Maivia over the biggest star in the industry. It was going to be once in a lifetime after all, so they'd never get back in the ring together...

You can skip the main event and 'Mania XXVIII still has a strong card. Sheamus literally kick-started the rise of Daniel Bryan in the opener, Big Show got to have his WrestleMania moment, and CM Punk Vs. Chris Jericho was a true dream match.

How about The Undertaker kicking out of Sweet Chin Music and a Pedigree inside Hell in a Cell? It was the end of an era, until Triple H and 'Taker both had matches at 'Mania 29, which also played host to twice in a lifetime.

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
