10 Biggest WWE Return Pops Ever

8. Hulk Hogan - 2002

Hulk Hogan technically hadn't been off our screens at all when he "returned" on an April 2002 episode of SmackDown to unseat the then-Undisputed Champion Triple H as the company's franchise player.

It wasn't even his return to WWE - that had come two months earlier at No Way Out when he, alongside Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, rocked up in the colours of the New World Order (about six months too late, if you wanted to see them participate in the Invasion angle).

But it was the re-emergence of butter-wouldn't-melt, holier-than-thou Hogan - the one we hadn't seen for a solid five years since he was lured over to wrestling's dark side in WCW - and to say that fans were excited to see him back in the colours of red and yellow would be a huge understatement.
