10 Biggest WWE Success Stories Of 2023
9. Chelsea Green
When this "Hot Mess" made her surprising return to WWE during the Royal Rumble earlier this year, Chelsea Green was rapidly dumped out of the contest in five-seconds flat.
And it honestly looked as though she was destined to become little more than a body to be ripped apart by the likes of Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair during her comeback run.
While Chelsea wouldn't exactly go on to become the most dominant woman on the roster, she did actually turn what could have been an embarrassing dead on arrival moment into the foundation for a consistently entertaining "Karen" character in the weeks that followed.
Regularly making Adam Pearce's life a glorious misery on the red show with her attempts to complain to WWE management, Green would then end up teaming with Sonya Deville and even earning tag gold back in July.
Not even Deville then going down with an ACL injury could keep Green away from the spotlight, with the star attempting to hold auditions for the part of her new fellow champion before being comically forced into a unit with Piper Niven.
Who saw this rapidly eliminated returnee ultimately becoming one of the most enjoyable faces on WWE TV back in January, eh?
