Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles is a match WWE fans have been pining for from the moment both walked through the company's doors in January 2016. Now, two years later, it's finally happening, and WWE's execution couldn't have been better.

'The King Of Strong Style' put forth a fantastic Royal Rumble showing, and the excitement was palpable when Renee Young asked which champion he'd challenge. Of course, we all knew the answer. The duo have seemingly been locked into this trajectory since Nak joined the main roster, and barring a disaster, we'll see them face off in New Orleans.

This is a true WWE dream match. Sure, Shinsuke hasn't shown his best work on the main roster, but his last bout with Styles (at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 10) was an instant classic. There's no question he'll raise his game on the biggest show of the year, against the best wrestler in the company, in front of the largest audience of his career. Only an almighty curmudgeon would dismiss its chances of being absolutely great, and it could be exactly the kind of high-workrate spectacle AJ needs to wash away the stench of his involvement in the Sami & Kevin vs. the world storyline.
