6. Madusa Throws Away The WWF Women's Title
In yet another shocking moment in Nitro's first year of existence, Debrah Miceli made an impact on the WWF that few women ever had. In 1993, the WWF decided to reinstate their women's division and title, hiring Miceli from WCW to become Alundra Blayze, babyface titleholder. Miceli had a decent run in the World Wrestling Federation, feuding with Luna Vachon, Bertha Faye, and Bull Nakano. However, the WWF was in financial trouble by 1995 and were forced to release Miceli in a cost-cutting measure. Miceli was signed by WCW in December and then she made the mistake of telling Eric Bischoff that she still had the actual WWF Women's title in her possession. Miceli asked if she should send the title back but Bischoff told her to bring it to Nitro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6UWUolS6Z0 In a moment that seemed too surreal to be reality, Miceli interrupted the WCW announce team and threw the WWF Women's title in the garbage can on national television. It was an ultimate insult to Vince McMahon and guaranteed there would be no chance of employment for Miceli outside of WCW.
