Becky Lynch's rise to superstardom seems to have counted for diddly squat in the eyes of WWE's higher-ups, as the division that headlined WrestleMania just a few months ago is once again a footnote in wider company plans.

One of the speculated reasons for this is the absence of Ronda Rousey. The former Raw Women's Champion hasn't been seen on WWE TV since dropping her title to Lynch, supposedly because she's taking time away from the spotlight to start a family. It's unclear as to when she'll be back in the ring, if ever.

WWE have seemingly stopped putting the effort in with the Women's division since they lost their famous and expensive toy. However, if we've learned one thing over the past few years, it's never to rule out a return from a former UFC star when Vince McMahon wants a ratings boost.

Rousey could be persuaded to put her family plans on hold for another year and, if this does happen, expect the company to put the Raw Women's title right back on her. This would legitimise the title in the eyes of WWE and draw huge amounts of mainstream press back to their women's division.

Just pray that Ronda actually keeps to kayfabe if she does come back, otherwise it's going to be another bumpy ride.
