If you ever needed proof that Vince McMahon hates tag team wrestling, then just look at the current output.

The tag team scene in WWE is woeful right now, and it's not going to get better any time soon. Neither of the men's tag team titles have been defended on Pay-Per-View since WrestleMania 35, and the Women's Tag Team Championships seem to have been completely forgotten about.

Vince probably doesn't know who any of the current tag team champions are, but when he remembers, he'll likely realise how bored he is of having three separate tag belts on his product.

Expect the men's tag team titles to go the way of the women's very soon - a single championship defended across both Raw and SmackDown. This would fit the current trend of Raw and SmackDown becoming the same show and the brand extension dying a slow, painful death.

WWE previously unified their tag belts right as the last brand split was coming to an end. With the current brand split on its last legs, the unification of WWE's tag team championships could be the final nail in the brand split's coffin - and that could happen very soon.
