10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (Oct 10)
2. Kevin Owens Defeats Xavier Woods
One of the funniest moments on last week's Raw came when Xavier Woods poked fun at the physical appearance of Kevin Owens. It was typical WWE humour, the kind the company have long-since endorsed. After Owens had said The New Day were "jumping the shark", Woods said it didn't look like the WWE Universal Champion had been jumping over anything lately.
The New Day did square off against Owens and Chris Jericho in a non-title match on the show, so it'd be a nice continuation of that to have KO request a one-on-one match against Woods this week. That's in-keeping with the bully-boy nature of Owens as character, he'd surely love to teach Xavier a lesson.
WWE then have a choice. They can continue booking Seth Rollins to interfere in KO's matches, or the company can have Owens beat Woods before Rollins makes an appearance. The latter scenario makes the most sense, and could even lead to Seth presenting the Universal Champ with a contract for a match at Hell In A Cell for the title.
