10 Booking Steps For WWE's Road To WrestleMania 41

1. Cena Puts World Title Bid On Ice

John Cena will, in all likelihood, win his 17th World Title before hanging up the garish t-shirts, jorts and wristbands for good. He'll break Ric Flair's 16-time brag into pieces, and immortalise himself as the greatest to ever do it in the process. WWE will go all in on gushing praise for the guy who was almost out the door before he started rapping for the roster on a tour bus back in 2002; it was akin to jobbers who went on to become World Champions.

The man deserves all of the flowers coming his way, but...he isn't more important than WrestleMania 41 or ongoing company booking. They've got a non-stop product to focus on here. It can't stand still just because Cena is back for another whirl. That's just the way it is. Wrestling moves on from everybody - it always has and it always will. That's why JC's title hopes have to be iced before April.

CM Punk challenging Cody Rhodes is the way to go, and Jey Uso cementing his spot at the top of cards by taking the World Heavyweight gold from GUNTHER is also another must. Being totally transparent, this fan won't roll his eyes if Cena wins that 17th World Title later in 2025. It'd be a lovely moment, but it's on the back burner for now.

So, this is totally where Cena wins Elimination Chamber, pushes Uso to the side to announce that match will be a three way, then pins GUNTHER himself to end night one on top. Seriously though, John would survive wrestling Logan Paul on the grand stage, grabbing a popular win to shut the celeb's mouth, then refocusing on his title dream for the summer months.

Life will go on.
