10 Booking Steps For WWE's Road To WrestleMania 41

4. Randy Orton Returns At Elimination Chamber

Post-match at Chamber, Owens can try to hit another piledriver on the tortured Sami and put him out of action for good. Y'know, just because he can and that stupid Zayn deserves his stupid injuries for stupidly being stupid and not helping Kevin become WWE Champ at the Rumble. Stupid. Stupid. Someone else used to shout that (for real) when he felt like others were letting him down.

Randy f'n Orton.

He'd get a monster pop if he returned to save Zayn's skin in Toronto and smashed KO with an RKO "out of nowhere". If WWE fancies being flashy, then why not let Owens take another meaty bump like the one Cody delivered on him in Indianapolis at the Rumble? Kev is willing to put his body through a Mick Foley-style wringer if it benefits the story being told, and he'd understand the important of Randy getting some revenge.

Some revenge, but not all of it. No, that'd be waiting at WrestleMania 41. Orton and Owens can work a 'No DQ' brawl on night one or night two. Give them 20+ minutes and they'd put on a clinic of story beats that hark back to prior moments as tag-team partners and then enemies. Owens would have to tease putting Randy out all over again with another piledriver too.

Like the best heels do, KO has convinced himself that he's 100% in the right. Everyone else has turned on him, not the other way around. Orton's comeback would slap some sense into him at Chamber and set up a fine midcard attraction for April all at once.
