3. Surviving Hell
Carrying on seamlessly where they left off at Summerslam, Ambrose immediately wants his revenge against Roman Reigns for costing him the championship. Unsurprisingly, Reigns also wants to destroy Ambrose at every available opportunity, so the match is set for Hell In A Cell inside the stipulation of the same name. Inside the confines of the unforgiving steel structure, both men take each other to the limit and probably reduce their career lengths by some time. The match finishes with Reigns spearing Ambrose through the cell wall, but the feud is far from over. The two spend the ensuing weeks enlisting the help of others to back them up in tag team matches, with Ambrose joining forces with the likes of Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Ryback, while Reigns teams up with Sheamus, Bad News Barrett, Rusev, and Big Show. The two teams face off at Survivor Series, with both team leaders ending up as the last two men in the ring. After a fluke reversal of Ambrose's Dirty Deeds in a Samoan Drop, Reigns finishes the job with a Superman Punch, winning the match for Team Reigns and leaving Ambrose broken and defeated in the ring. Ambrose vanishes for weeks and weeks, as the likes of Renee Young and Tom Phillips can't locate him backstage for an interview, and scheduled matches with the likes of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel are forfeited due to his no-showing (if any guys could put over a forfeit victory, it's those two). Reigns can celebrate his victory for weeks and weeks, as well as launching unprovoked attacks on the other members of Team Ambrose before, during, and after their matches. Reigns needs to be an absolute monster in this time, and his rejuvenation as the biggest heel on the roster would be the most refreshing thing for him going forward.
