When AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho cleanly at Fastlane last week, it looked like WWE was moving in one of two directions: AJ would move on to a feud against someone like Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship, or Jericho would turn on Styles afterward, setting up a different dynamic of a rematch at WrestleMania. Neither happened, as Y2J applauded the Phenomenal One and suggested that the two pair up as a tag team to take on the world. (That is not a criticism.) One week later and theyve defeated the Social Outcasts and the New Day (with a little help from Mark Henry). While that is not what one might have expected, it looks like things are progressing toward an inevitable Jericho heel turn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b55TkYpqjGc But if thats going to come to pass, when will it happen? Could Jericho and Styles win the tag titles and then implode? Or lose the titles and blow up? Or will they just fracture in the next week or so and then have the blow-off match at Mania? Whatever happens, heres hoping that AJ comes out of it looking strong and not just another guy on the roster.
