10. Will New Day Finally End A Failed Experiment?
When New Day won the WWE Tag Team Championships, the trio was at the top of their collective game. Crowds were reacting to them exactly as youd expect, chanting, New Day sucks! at them and cheering their opponents. They were becoming more and more entertaining by the week. And then they suddenly lost the tag titles to the Prime Time Players. The reason why is debatable, but it appeared that WWE handed the straps over to the duo in part because Titus ONeil had been named a father of the year by some group and was getting some mainstream press although the only place it seemed to really get much of a mention was on Raw. No matter, you had to assume that New Day would be driven batty by losing and then regain the titles at Money in the Bank last month. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwSLJC7keLc Instead, weve seen Prime Time Players hold onto the titles while not only barely defending them, but barely competing on television. PTP has spent more time on commentary than in the ring in the past month, which is embarrassing when the champs arent injured. Its safe to call this a failed experiment, and its time for New Day to win the titles back before their momentum is wished the best on its future endeavors.
