Aside from being the first-ever Royal Rumble winner in 1988, he is known as a gigantic patriot to the world. His big beard, long hair and lumberjack look, Duggan embodies the hardworking-American man. He was used a lot more during the political era that WWE battled from 2001 until 2008. These days in World Wrestling Entertainment, Duggan is only used for the cheap pops that scream "America!" He marches down the ramp with his American flag waving it around with his 2x4. The classic, "hooooooo" is also done to get the crowd engaged. Nothing screams patriotism quite like Duggan and Vince McMahon knows that the crowd will eat it up every time.
