10 Christmas Gifts Every WWE Fan Wants For 2019

7. Something Different From Survivor Series

...please give us something different than the tired Raw vs. SmackDown gimmick that acts as a throwaway speed bump before things get serious around Royal Rumble-WrestleMania time. Pretty please.

Survivor Series 2018 wasn't bad, but that brand warfare garbage has got to go. It's Bragging Rights 2.0, serves no purpose after it's done and corners WWE's writers into booking those brand invasion sketches they over-rely on every year. What was once a favourite stop on the calendar is now a makeshift mess.

In 2019, it'd be sh*tting awesome to see Survivor Series given meaning. Maybe WWE could offer up later Rumble slots to the winning brand, or maybe they could have the inter-brand matches affect a Draft shortly after 'Mania. Just give us something more than a gimmick which makes one think of THQ's old video games.

Without any plan beyond mere (and temporary) boasting about brand superiority, Survivor Series isn't worth a toss. That's upsetting to say for a show that once stood proudly alongside the Rumble as one of WWE's best gimmicked shows.
