10 Christmas Gifts Every WWE Fan Wants

7. Less Cartoon Style Gimmicks

Case in point. Sure, WWE makes no secret about the fact they're happy to be more entertainment, less wrestling, but the fact remains that the bulk of the watching audience are professional wrestling fans, ones who tune in to see wrestling. Such an argument opens up a huge can of worms, given that pro wrestling is in itself one huge melting pot of different entertainment mediums. Pantomime, sports, movies, music, live theatre, WWE presents a lot under the banner of 'sports entertainment', and does enjoy offering a show with something for everyone. Vince McMahon loves his staff to be all-round performers. Even so, how men such as Cesaro can be expected to succeed as serious, money-drawing headliners, when the creative team previously had him yodeling on his way to the ring, is baffling. Yes, wrestling is a smorgasbord of entertaining elements, and the primary fanbase may be made up of young children nowadays, but WWE should show more care for those who have stood by the company, and continue to watch into adulthood.
