10 Classic WrestleMania Moments (WWE Won’t Ever Brag About)

4. Big Daft Hulk

Hulk Hogan is persona non grata in WWE at present and, you suspect, for the short-term future at a minimum. If the cautious corporate sponsors would not relent on their stance for the nostalgia-heavy RAW25 show, it seems it will take some time yet for the prodigal son to return home.

He did return home at WrestleMania XXX, or hilariously, he thought he had; in his capacity as Guest Host, Hogan, never one to exist on our plane of reality, welcomed everybody to the "Silverdome, brother!" The crowd jeered this, which rattled the 'Hulkster'. This may account for his next botch, in which he promised a great show for everybody watching at home on the "WWF - E! - Network". Hogan then made another reference to the Silverdome before a wry smile of acknowledgement crept over his face. This was an almost sweet moment, in which the great grandad of Vince Jr.'s promotion entered old age with the unintentional comedy that often comes with it, in turn underscoring just how enduring the institution he helped build had become. Even better was Steve Austin's impromptu rib at his expense, which was belated closure for the Rattlesnake's miserable WCW experience.

Even those repulsed by Hogan's moment of shame look back on this fondly, as opposed to WWE, which won't look at Hogan in any capacity.
