Holly Holm beat Ronda Rousey. For all of Rousey's flaws in the fight, she didn't beat herself - Holm beat her. It was the perfect storm of bad preparation and a great opponent. Yet Holm may find herself treated as a paper champion, even though it's not true. As a comparison: Daniel Cormier can be seen as a paper champion, because as good as he is, he never beat Jon Jones to win the title. Jones was stripped of the belt, and Cormier won it coming off a loss to Jones. There's no such situation with Holm, but she'll be seen in the same light. Or more accurately, she'll be seen like Chris Weidman, who beat Anderson Silva twice, and still got less respect than Rodney Dangerfield.
