Do you care what WWE did thats now trending on Twitter? No, of course you dont! Nobody outside of WWE does, but still, every episode of Raw we must be told constantly what and who is trending on Twitter. Sure, theyve been the No. 1 trend in the world countless times, but if that actually mattered wouldnt it reflect in their ratings? It would be one thing to leave whats trending on the screen, to encourage conversation between their audience, but the announcers bringing it up at every possible opportunity is grating to listen to. Other major sports dont bring it up anywhere near as WWE does while the game is happening. It comes across that WWE feels inferior and must constantly remind their fans that other people watch their program too. We love you WWE, whether you're trending or not. You just need to develop some more self esteem, and not worry what random Tweeters are saying about you.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
