Shoot-style angles are nothing new in modern circles. MJF blasted Tony Khan over in AEW, and feuds like AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton used real-life "shooty" comments to get some 'oohs' and 'aahs' from fans several years ago. Christ, today's generation has been obsessed with this style since CM Punk's "pipe bomb" back in 2011.

Jeff Hardy was almost the latest to use genuine frustrations.

Last year, Jeff pitched a heel turn on WWE itself. Basically, the popular Hardy wouldn't have tried to bash fans, but instead criticised the promotion's creative team for some of the angles he'd been asked to work since his brother Matt bolted to AEW. Yikes - that sounds very Buff Bagwell in Vince Russo-era WCW.

Jeff would've been a hair away from calling out Vince McMahon and saying, "I respect you, booker man!" with this. WWE didn't like Hardy's plan though, so it didn't make air in the end. Again, that's likely not a bad thing.
