10 Crazy Secrets From The WWE Writers Room

6. The Writers Listen To Wrestling Podcasts

THE ULTIMATE THUMBNAIL

While so many of us have so often grumbled something about bad creative while slapping our foreheads at what's playing out on Raw or SmackDown, one thing we have to all remember is that the person we're really ranting about should be Vince McMahon.

Whatever we see on WWE programming has all been delivered at the behest of Vince. For all we know, there could have some absolute wrestling gold offered up as ideas for WWE programming, yet instead we got utter trash. And for that, the finger of blame has to forever be directed at McMahon until the day he finally loosens up his grip on creative and programming.

To again go back to the unnamed caller to Wade Keller's podcast last year, WWE writers constantly listen to wrestling podcasts. While this gives them a way to gauge the views of wrestling journalists and fans, and keeps these writers' fingers on the pulse of what people want to see from the business, the other side of the coin is that it's often a tough listen for these writers when all they hear is how WWE creative sucks.

WWE creative so often does suck, but it's not necessarily the writers themselves who are to blame for this.
