10 Creative Ways To Make Roman Reigns WWE's Top Babyface

6. Limit Self-Aggrandising During Interviews

Traditionally in wrestling, babyfaces were gracious and heels were brash. Quite clearly, things have changed over the years, and the lines are now more blurred than ever before. For example, Chris Jericho's arrogant spiels as 'Y2J' would have made him a heel before. When he performed them at the turn of the millennium, it was something fans found cool. Anti-authority can still be all the rage, but Reigns is often brash in an altogether different manner. During many of his interviews with the media away from the ring, there's a self-important vibe to the guy's words that don't really help endear him to fans. Statements such as addressing the 'haters' who boo him will only entice those people to do it more, instead of alleviate the problem. Making matters worse, Reigns has also talked up his own in-ring performances. There's a real difference between saying you have confidence in your own abilities, and outright saying people can't deny that you're one of the best. That's up for fans to decide, a babyface shouldn't have to remind the audience that he's good. This kind of self-aggrandisement doesn't help Roman relate to fans. He needs to be more likeable.
