10 Criminally Underrated Wrestler/Manager Combos

Boy toys, geniuses, doom bringers and complete f*cking weirdos...

Lil' Drake Maverick is a bit of alright, isn't he?

When he's not soiling himself, the GM-come-manager is a nice complement to meaty ass-kickers AOP on Raw, and he's like a throwback to the glory days of old when mouthpieces ruled the earth. The same goes for Lio Rush with Bobby Lashley and (obviously) our lord and saviour Paul Heyman with Brock Lesnar.

Everyone knows the best combos out there. Bobby Heenan and Ric Flair, Jim Cornette and The Midnight Express, Paul Bearer and The Undertaker, Miss. Elizabeth and Randy Savage, the aforementioned Heyman and Lesnar. The list goes on and on - but what about those wrestler/manager combos that aren't on those 'best of' lists all over the interwebs?

These double (and sometimes triple) acts are woefully underrated by the critics and rarely, if ever, given the respect they deserve by WWE themselves. Maybe it's because they didn't pan out the way creative wanted them too. Yep, that must be it.

They shouldn't be taking the blame for creative failures though, so it's time to dip into the past and honour the combos that need more love...
