10 Cringeworthy Pre-Russo WCW Moments

8. The Chamber Of Horrors

Vince Russo wasn't even involved in pro wrestling when the infamous 'Chamber Of Horrors' took place, never mind writing storylines for WCW.

At 1991's iteration of Halloween Havoc, the company decided to open the show with a huge multi-man Steel Cage bout. The whole thing was an absolute disaster waiting to happen.

Sting, El Gigante and The Steiner Brothers faced the cobbled-together team of The Diamond Studd, Big Van Vader, Cactus Jack and Abdullah The Butcher. The latter would do his best to sell the - literally - shocking ending, but all hope was lost by the time the match came to its conclusion.

The stipulation of the match called for one team to lose when a member had been placed in the 'Chair Of Torture' and swiftly electrocuted. Sadly, the camera crew repeatedly showed the 'On/Off' switch as set to 'On', even forcing poor Mick Foley to first switch it off before frying Abdullah.

Aside from the poor logic of opening a show with such a match, the whole thing was a catastrophe with no flow and an unconvincing ending.
