4. The Yeti Attacks Hulk Hogan

There was a time when WCW was regarded as a true alternative to the WWF. Vince McMahon favoured 'Sports Entertainment', but WCW of the late-80's and early-90's was the place for fans who preferred more bang for their buck when it came to in-ring action. That was the theory and general consensus anyway, but things changed in the mid-90's.

Remember that Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant main event from Halloween Havoc 1995 discussed in an earlier entry? Well, a 'Monster Truck' showdown and Hogan effectively throwing his foe from the top of the building wasn't all the nonsense the encounter had to offer.

A large man wrapped up like a mummy also made an appearance, acting on behalf of The Dungeon Of Doom faction.

Attacking Hogan during the bout, the character was named 'The Yeti', despite not bearing any resemblance to The Abominable Snowman whatsoever.

It was a terrible angle, and the gimmick didn't last long before being taken off television.
