3. RocoCop Is There For Sting

Chucky The Doll certainly wasn't the first fictional character WCW gave house room to, RoboCop also made an appearance years earlier.

At the Capital Combat pay-per-view in 1990, the movie star character aided Sting in his fight against The Four Horsemen. The whole purpose of the story was to promote RoboCop 2, which was seeing release shortly after the WCW show.

Locked in a cage by his rivals, all seemed lost for Sting. Suddenly, the cyborg law giver showed up to save the day, and Jim Ross promptly went crazy. It's truly bizarre to hear JR throw hyperbole at the idea of RoboCop and Sting taking it to The Four Horsemen, but that's what happened.

Again, much like Chucky, everyone should be thankful that WCW didn't book a tag-team match around the idea. That sounds ridiculous, but it's not entirely far-fetched considering some of the chaos going on in - what was a directionless second half of - 1990 for WCW.

Freeing Sting from the confines of the cage, RoboCop was never seen again on WCW programming.
