All Elite Wrestling has been around for over three years now, and still, the women's division feels like an afterthought.

In that time, we have seen numerous "game-changing" signings come in, quickly flounder, and then fall into the lazy, familiar booking that Tony Khan seems to think is an afterthought. Honestly, beyond a slightly heated feud between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker, has any part of the division been particularly memorable?

After three years, there are no excuses, and that really needs to change.

Right, rant over. Speaking of the aforementioned Britt Baker, the former AEW Women's Champion has been the shining light of the division and can stand tall as a homegrown talent who has broken through to become a legitimate star. So much so in fact, that she has been spoken of as one of the pillars of the company.

That hasn't really been due to the booking either. It's mostly been off her own back and the phenomenal improvement she's made on the microphone. During the pandemic era, D.M.D. became one of the most entertaining stars in the company and her heel turn was an absolute delight.

Like her boyfriend Adam Cole, Britt has an incredible call and response with the crowd, and she is so in tune with her egotistical character, that everything she says and does feels natural. Whilst the division still seems to be struggling, Baker just goes from strength to strength with every promo.
