Think back to the summer of 2019, and it felt like we witnessing the star of Seth Rollins rapidly dying.

After his heroic conquering of Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35, it felt like WWE finally had the superstar they wanted with Roman Reigns, only it had come in the form of the 'Beast Slayer'. Things quickly changed, and after a lacklustre run, and that awful 'godzilla looking ba$tard' promo, Rollins felt dead in the water.

In the few years since, he has really turned it around.

It's taken a while to find the character. The religion adjacent 'Messiah' character didn't really connect, but over the last 18 months, Rollins has been WWE's standout superstar, and a large part of that has been due to the commitment he has made to the snivelling, cackling heel character he has become.

On the mic, he is gold, and it's no surprise that the likes of Cesaro and Riddle were pushed against him to 'level up', and that returning stars such as Cody Rhodes and Edge entered into long, drawn-out feuds with one of the best in the business.

In the ring, the man is at his career best. On the mic, he has developed into a fantastic heel, but don't be fooled by his over the top gimmick. You only need to watch his explosive promo towards Cody Rhodes on the 30 May edition of RAW to see how good this man is with a mic in his hand.
