10 Current NXT Stars Who Will Struggle On WWE's Main Roster
3. Lio Rush
Like Tyler Bate, Lio Rush has reportedly attracted backstage heat very early into his WWE tenure, despite being heralded as one of the company's great stars of the future after signing on the dotted line in 2017.
With Rush - who made the mistake of Tweeting an ill-conceived joke when Emma was released back in October - it's perhaps a little more understandable that he is currently being given the cold shoulder, although to be fair, it wasn't exactly the crime of the century.
Combine this with the innate fears that male performers as small as the former Ring of Honor star - he's 5'6", making him only a few inches taller than Alexa Bliss - will inevitably struggle in WWE unless their name is Rey Mysterio, and it's difficult to see him having much of an impact on Raw or SmackDown.
Of course, all of this could change rapidly if he mends his damaged reputation backstage (say, by laying on a spread of communal doughnuts in the canteen - but not in the style of Bill DeMott) and 205 Live - now under the exclusive control of Triple H - starts to become the show we once hoped it could be.
