10 Current Wrestling Heels That Are Impossible To Truly Hate

There is a fine line between anti-hero and bad guy in wrestling. Take "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for example. He sits perfectly in between heel and face. He can mould seamlessly into either role just because he is so cool! Some heels in the business are too good at their jobs and can organically get themselves over as babyfaces...by being heels.

2008's The Dark Knight is a contemporary example of the perfect anti-hero. The Joker is one of the most quoted, cosplayed and richest characters in film history, but he does truly terrible (yet justififed) things. The same stands for wrestling and their storylines. Some superstars are so disdainful, that we can't help but love them for it.

This could be because of killer promos, maybe their in-ring work is tremendous or their whole presentation is just top notch. They could have been part of some incredibly memorable angles that shot them to superstardom. Whatever they did, it worked. The crowd now love these acts and they have all become a must watch presence on a variety of wrestling programming.

After a failed babyface push during the early days of AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker has managed to find her groove and has ran with it ever since. Baker transitioned her character into a narcissistic, rude and savage wrestler. Her moves hit with more impact and she managed to get the Lockjaw over as one of the most devastating submission moves in AEW.

But what has really propelled Dr Britt to the top of AEW women's division is the relationship with Tony Schiavone. The pairing of the two is incredibly unique and both play their part perfectly. Schiavone plays the straight man and Britt is the obnoxious friend, but their relationship is quite endearing. We as the audience know she doesn't really like the guy, but the friendship seems real.

Baker has used this angle to create some great segments on Dynamite - the chest waxing sequence springs to mind. But the charisma of Britt Baker D.M.D. has made her the top heel in AEW and she should be holding the AEW Women's Championship in the next few months.
