10 DDT & TJPW Wrestlers Who MUST Appear In AEW
4. Chris Brookes
A British import to DDT Pro-Wrestling, Chris Brookes has made himself undeniable in the last few years and during his time in the promotion. Before joining DDT Brookes worked with both Progress Wrestling and Revolution Pro Wrestling in his native UK. His work in RevPro has allowed him to face some of the best of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, including the members of CHAOS, Los Ingobernables de Japon and Suzuki-gun. He began working for DDT in 2019, completing a tour with the company before returning as a full roster member at the start of 2020.
Brookes has held championships in Attack! Pro Wrestling, CZW, Fight Club: Pro, Progress Wrestling, RevPro, Southside Wrestling Entertainment and German promotion wXw. Since moving to Japan Brookes has been a champion in Gatoh Move Pro where he is the current Asia Dream Tag Team Champion with Masahiro Takanashi while in DDT, he has won the DDT Extreme Championship, DDT Universal Championship, Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship and the current KO-D Tag Team Champion, again with Takanashi.
Despite the fact that Chris Brookes and Maki Itoh haven’t teamed since last year they could join back up in AEW. Brookes has been someone many people have wanted in AEW for some time and with the partnership between the two companies this might finally happen. Brookes would work well against a whole host of performers, but Daniel Bryan might be the most mouth-watering feud we need.
